- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoon(s) olive oil
- 7 cup(s) ground peeled tomatoes in tomato paste
- 7 cup(s) water
- 3 tablespoon(s) Italian seasoning
- 6 teaspoon(s) basil
- 1 teaspoon(s) white granulated sugar
- 4 floz red wine
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper
- 1/2 cup(s) green pepper, minced
Directions
- In a large saucepan, warm olive oil and saute onions and garlic over medium heat until tender.
- Add and stir in all other ingredients until well combined.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 4 hours.
- Serve atop your favorite pasta.
