3sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
2 cup(s) unsweetened applesauce
1cinnamon stick
3/4 teaspoon(s) cloves
4 tablespoon(s) Smart Balance Heart Right Light Buttery Spread
1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
Directions
In a large pot, combine the potatoes, unsweetend applesauce, cinnmaon stick, and cloves.
Add water to barely cover the potatoes.
Partially cover the pot and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
Drain and place the potatoes in a large bowl.
Discard cinnamon stick.
Add light butter spread to skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the ground cinnamon, salt, and ground cloves. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and mash to the desired consistency.
