Japanese Steak and Vegetables

  • 1 pound(s) steak, ribeye, flank or porterhouse, cubed
  • 1/4 cup(s) soy sauce
  • 1/2 floz white wine
  • 1 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
  • 1 dash(es) salt
  • 1 dash(es) pepper
  • 1 tablespoon(s) sunflower oil
  • 1/4 cup(s) shallots, chopped
  • 1 cup(s) carrots, chopped
  • 2 cup(s) broccoli, chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) celery, chopped

Directions

    1. Combine soy sauce, white wine, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
    2. Heat the 1/2 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and cook the steak cubes, browning on all sides. Set aside
    3. Over medium-high heat use the remaining oil to sauté shallots, carrots, broccoli, and celery.
    4. Place on a serving dish and scatter the chopped vegetables on top.
    5. Pour sauce over steak pieces and vegetables.
    6. Serve hot.
