 Healthy Chicken Pesto Pasta

  • 16 ounce(s) whole wheat bow tie pasta
  • 1 teaspoon(s) olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 organic boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • 5 1/4 tablespoon(s) sun dried tomatoes in oil, drained and sliced
  • 1/2 cup(s) reduced fat pesto sauce

Directions

    1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil adding some salt to the water. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes or until al dente. Drain pasta. 
    2. In a large skillet over medium heat warm oil. Saute garlic until tender. Stir in chicken pieces . Season with red pepper flakes. Cook until chicken is golden brown and cook through. 
    3. In a large serving bowl toss pasta, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto together until evenly combined. 
    4. Serve immediately.
