2garlic, cloves
1onion, diced
1 teaspoon(s) extra virgin olive oil
1 cup(s) red pepper, chopped
1carrots, peeled and shredded
8 ounce(s) extra lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 teaspoon(s) prepared yellow mustard
1/3 tablespoon(s) ketchup
1/2 tablespoon(s) maple syrup
4whole wheat hamburger buns
1avocado, sliced
Directions
In a medium skillet over medium heat oil and add the garlic, onion, red pepper, carrots to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 4 minutes. Set aside.
Next add the ground beef and cook with the lid on until browned. Drain any fat from the pan.
Stir in the garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, and maple syrup.
Add the vegetables and stir to combine.
Reduce heat to medium and cover. Let cook for about 20 minutes.
Serve on whole wheat buns. Top with avocado slices.
