Dairy-Free Chocolate Chip Brownies

Brownie points for this healthy dessert. Although it's still somewhat sinful, it is missing the dairy that many people dodge. It's the ideal sweet treat for those looking to avoid milk and more. 

Dairy-Free Chocolate Chip Brownies

  • 1 3/4 cup(s) sugar
  • 10 1/2 tablespoon(s) cocoa powder
  • 1 cup(s) wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 cup(s) canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 64 Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate chips (these are considered vegan)

Directions

    1. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
    2. Grease two 8X8 inch glass baking pans or 1 9X13 inch glass baking pan.
    3. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, eggs, cocoa, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt and oil. Mix until there is a smooth consistency with no lumps.
    4. Fold in chocolate chips.
    5. Bake for 20 minutes, then top with chocolate chips and continue to bake for the remaining time. 
    6. Brownies need to be moist, but cooked, make sure they are cooked in the center by using a toothpick.
    7. Let cool for 5 minutes, serve!
