Non-Dairy Grits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup(s) almond milk or non-dairy milk of your choice
  • 3/4 cup(s) coconut cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon(s) maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt, divided
  • 1/2 cup(s) quick-cooking grits
  • 1 dash(es) pepper
  • 1/2 cup(s) blueberries

Directions

    1. Bring non-dairy milk, coconut cream, syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat.
    2. Slowly whisk in grits, reduce heat to medium-low.
    3. Stir, remaining salt and pepper.
    4. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 5 minutes.
    5. Top with fresh blueberries.
    6. Serve hot.

     in shredded cheese, salt and pepper, and continue stirring until cheese is melted throughout.
