Awesome Applesauce and Pork Chops
Apples and pork are the new power couples. Homemade applesauce is the perfect complement for this dish. Chop to it for a hearty meal. You can't go wrong.

- 1/4 cup(s) honey
- 1/3 tablespoon(s) coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 4 pork chops
- 8 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
- 1/10 teaspoon(s) ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, coriander, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place pork chops in a resealable plastic bag and marinade for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, placed the peeled, cored and quartered apples into a large pot. Add the lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar and cloves.
- Cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes, until the apples, are tender.
- Remove from heat and use a potato masher to mash the cooked apples. Set aside and keep warm.
- Add oil to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Arrange the chops in the hot skillet. Cook on high heat for 2 minutes on each side.
- Cover and lower the heat to low. Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes.
- Serve alongside warm applesauce.
