Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

  • 1 3/4 cup(s) whole wheat flour
  • 12 teaspoon(s) pure cane sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 4 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) low fat milk
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped

Directions

    1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon.
    2. Add milk in slowly, whisk it just until the batter is combined. Fold in chopped apples. Be careful not to over mix.
    3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Coat with cooking spray, place a 0.33 cup of pancake batter onto hot skillet. 
    4. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes. You should flip the pancakes when you start to see bubbles.
    5. Transfer to a plate once golden brown. 
    6. Repeat with the rest of the batter and serve pancakes with your favorite topping.
