Heart Healthy Classic Caesar Salad
All hail this Caesar salad. Over the years, Ceasar salad has gotten a bad rap for being in high in fat and calories. However, this slimmed-down version actually fits in nicely with any healthy eating plan. Lettuce introduce you to our scrumptious salad.

- 1 clove garlic, peeled, minced
- 1 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
- 1/2 cup(s) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 head romain lettuce
- 1 juice of lemon
- 1 teaspoon(s) soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon(s) apple cider vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
- 1/10 teaspoon(s) ground cloves
- 4 ounce(s) broken bagel chips
- 1/2 cup(s) shredded Parmigiano- Reggiano cheese
- 1 dash(es) black pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a small bowl, add the garlic and salt and mash together using a wooden spoon.
- Pour in the oil, mixing constantly with a fork until well combined.
- In a large bowl, add the romaine leaves, drizzle with garlic-oil mixture, and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the lemon juice over the salad and toss again.
- Add soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot pepper sauce and a ground cloves, cheese, pepper and broken bagel chips.
- Toss again and serve immediately.
